The more mundane day job requires a lot of data wrangling of bracketed (X3) jpeg files between my camera and dropbox and I have to separate shots between different dropbox folders. I do a lot of image processing and use a Canon 5D MkII and a much newer Canon 80D for a variety of different shoots including some studio shoots (portraits/product) and location shoots (events/real estate/street photography/landscape). But the performance dropped considerably after an overnight update.

I'm running a 2015 macbook pro with Lightroom classic which until about 2 months ago worked perfectly well enough for me. I am on the road a lot and decided to give the Ipad Pro a try since I can rely on it as a field monitor, can sync it with my phone and laptop and can quickly get it out to use while I'm stuck in standstill traffic, which I am a lot. I was torn between the 11 and 12.9 inch and recently decided I might prefer the larger screen (open to suggestions though), however I'm sure either chip will be a vast improvement on what my current setup is. I really can't decide on whether to get an IPAD Pro with the AZ Bionic chip, or the M1 or M2.
